The academy provides a welcoming environment where people of all ages and abilities can build confidence, improve fitness and develop new skills through boxing.

To help grow its community sessions, ESBA successfully applied to the Cameron Toll Community Fund for funding to purchase essential boxing and fitness equipment, supporting both children and adults who take part in the sessions.

Michael Wood from Edinburgh South Boxing Academy said: “Our sessions are about much more than boxing. They’re about building confidence, supporting wellbeing and creating a positive environment for people in the community. This funding will allow us to invest in vital equipment, meaning we can welcome more people and ensure everyone has access to what they need to take part. We’re incredibly grateful for the support from the Cameron Toll Community Fund.”

Claire Jefcoate, Centre Manager at Cameron Toll, added: “We’re delighted to support Edinburgh South Boxing Academy through our Community Fund. The work they do to provide inclusive, accessible activities for people of all ages is fantastic, and this funding will help them continue to grow and make a real difference in the local community.”
