Work+Play Hub is a pioneering charity based in Inch House supporting parents to return to, and remain in, the workforce by offering a unique coworking space with a supervised crèche.

Alongside its flexible workspace, Work+Play Hub also delivers tailored mental health support and helps bridge digital inequality through access to technology and training. It plays an important role in reducing isolation, strengthening community connections and empowering families, particularly those in more deprived areas.
To further enhance its facilities, the organisation successfully applied to the Cameron Toll Community Fund for support to create a dedicated lactation area within the hub providing a private and comfortable environment for breastfeeding mothers to express milk and care for their children while continuing to access the coworking services.
Karina de Sousa, founder of Work+Play Hub said: “Our aim is to create a space where parents don’t have to choose between their careers and caring for their children. The addition of a dedicated lactation area will make a real difference, giving mothers the privacy and support they need while remaining part of the community. This welcome support from the Cameron Toll Community Fund will help us continue to provide an inclusive and empowering environment for families.”
Claire Jefcoate, Centre Manager at Cameron Toll, added: “We’re delighted to support Work+Play Hub through the Community Fund. The work they do to support parents across South Edinburgh is truly inspiring, and this funding will help make their space even more welcoming and accessible for local families.”
