New Guide Dog Cammie Pops in For a Visit

A new addition tothe Guide Dog community has arrived thanks to donations from Cameron Toll shoppers.

‘Cammie’, a very cute black Labrador puppy, has now begun his training including making his first visit to the shopping centre that inspired his name.

Guide Dogs Scotland collection points have been in the centre since 2019 and with fundraising from Cameron Toll’s generous visitors the total donated has reached £5000.

Claire Jefcoate, centre manager, said: “Our thanks go to every visitor to the centre who made a donation into the Guide Dog collection points and we’re so delighted that over time enough has been collected to be able to fund Cammie’s training. It was lovely to welcome him to the centre and we hope we’ll see him again during his training.”

Anne Rowse from Guide Dogs Scotland added: “We’re so grateful to the shoppers at Cameron Toll for funding Cammie’s training.  He’s already started and he’s got lots to learn but when he finishes he will have such a positive impact on the life of the person who he assists.”
