Funding Helps Women Make New Connections

The Healing Empire has received £600 from the Cameron Toll Community Fund to support regular creative sessions for women and based at Bridgend Farmhouse.

Established in January 2026, The Healing Empire brings together women of all ages who may be experiencing loneliness or would like to make new friends within their local community.

Held every second Sunday, the welcoming sessions give participants the opportunity to meet others while enjoying creative activities such as rock painting, candle painting and rhinestone art. The funding from the Cameron Toll Community Fund will be used to cover the cost of facilities at Bridgend Farmhouse, helping The Healing Empire continue to provide an accessible and supportive space for local women.

Lennon Crosbie from The Healing Empire said: “Our events give women a relaxed and friendly place where they can enjoy being creative, meet new people and form friendships in their local area. The funding from the Cameron Toll Community Fund will help us continue supporting women who may be feeling lonely or isolated in south Edinburgh.”

Claire Jefcote, Centre Manager at Cameron Toll, said: “The Healing Empire is creating valuable opportunities for women to connect with others through fun and creative activities. We’re delighted to support these sessions and help provide a welcoming space where new friendships can flourish.”
