Donation Boosts Community Support Services

The wellbeing of our elderly community members is as important as the development of our younger generation. In recognition of this, the Cameron Toll Community Fund has made a donation to a local organisation that provides this essential support.

Prestonfield Neigbourhood Project, founded by local people and just a short distance from Cameron Toll, is a charity that supports many older people in south Edinburgh through a wide range of services including its Community Café, Day Care and Lunch Club, Dementia Day Care, Personal Footcare Service, and its wider Advice and Information Service.

Lisa Redpath, Care Manager, Prestonfield Neighbourhood Project said: “We have many day care services, we run social groups, and can give advice and provide a wide range of information to those that need it.  The support from the Cameron Toll Community Fund will help us provide much needed support to the elderly members of the local community.”

Claire Jefcoate, centre manager at Cameron Toll said: “Supporting the wellbeing of the older members of our community is very important and by providing funding to the Prestonfield Neighbourhood Project though our Community Fund, we hope it will help them continue delivering the care and compassion that truly strengthens our community.”
