Craigour Park Pupils Bring Playground To Life
Craigour Park Primary School is all smiles after transforming its playground with vibrant new markings designed by the pupils themselves!
Funded from an award from the Cameron Toll Community Fund, the colourful new designs are brightening up the school’s outdoor space and providing fun, interactive play zones for everyone to enjoy. From imaginative hopscotch trails to energetic activity circuits, the markings will offer a fresh way for children to stay active, socialise and have fun.
Even better, the new space isn’t just for breaktimes. The areas will also be used by young carers, PE classes, and after-school clubs making it a resource the whole school community can benefit from.
Amanda Somerville, Pupil Support Officer at Craigour Park Primary School said: “The children loved being part of the design process and it’s given them real ownership of the space and they are very proud of it. We’re so pleased to have received this funding from the Cameron Toll Community Fund to help bring their ideas to life.”
Claire Jefcoate, Centre Manager at Cameron Toll added: “We had the pleasure of visiting the school and the pupils took great delight at showing us their designs and then treating us to a display of how they use them. Seeing the positive impact the funding has had is very exciting and knowing it will be used by the wider community is very exciting.”
