We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back to Cameron Toll. As we are sure you will appreciate, we have had to make some changes, which you will notice when shopping with us. The health and wellbeing of our customers and staff continues to be our top priority and we are working closely with our retailers to implement Scottish Government shopping guidelines.
There are clear and simple safe distancing guidelines, which will already be familiar to many of you if you have been shopping here, or at supermarkets, in recent months. Mall queuing systems will continue to be in place and shopping in individual stores will take longer than before due to restricted access.
Social distancing will continue and we will be managing the number of customers allowed on the mall at one time to allow these measures to be safely followed. It may be necessary to restrict access at entrances in the event the volume of customers in the centre exceeds the designated threshold.
Masks must be worn by anyone entering an individual store for the safety of everyone however they are not required while you move around the mall to each shop. If Government advice on this requires masks to be worn at all times we will implement that guidance immediately.
You will see a number of other changes which have been implemented to further enhance your safety and wellbeing. These include:
- Increased the number of hand sanitising stations including at all centre entrances and exits
- Reduced the number of touch points and increased the level of cleaning of touch points by our cleaning team
- Removed seating throughout the mall to reduce the amount of time spent in the public space and to provide more open space to move around
We will also be suspending some of our customer services for the protection of customers and staff. Public toilets will remain closed, as they have done since lockdown began, with only one in operation – disabled/baby changing toilet – for shopper emergencies. The Collect Plus/Customer Service desk remains closed at the present time and this will be reviewed in the future.
Our retailers will be operating their stores in line with their own company policies and every store will have a queuing system for your safety and some will be operating one-way entry and exit systems. We ask that all procedures put in place by our retailers and teams are respectfully followed.
Visitors to the centre since the enforced lockdown have adapted to the social distancing guidelines and been supportive of all staff working very hard in difficult times. These guidelines will continue for some time and we thank you for continuing to adhere to these and to care for everyone.
Should you need any additional support, our centre team on the mall will be happy to help, or please contact Centre Management on 0131 666 2777 for any more information.
Thanks for all your support and patience during this very difficult period. We all appreciate it.
