Aldi opened its sixth store on Thursday the 5th of October in the Edinburgh area, with its latest addition situated in the Cameron Toll Shopping Centre. Local Olympic rugby hero Mark Robertson tackled the all-important ribbon cutting with the help of the 75th Braid Scout Group, as the store officially opens its doors to local shoppers.
The Team GB star, who won silver in the Rugby 7s at the Rio Olympics, said “I’m so excited to attend the Cameron Toll opening. Edinburgh has a special place in my heart after playing for Edinburgh Rugby for four years, so I’m really looking forward to meeting the customers and being part of the ceremony.
“The store will be a great asset to the local community and as an athlete I know the importance of eating well. Aldi’s amazing fresh Scottish produce and Super6 range of fruit and veg makes it so easy and accessible to everyone.”
